Dracaena marginata flowering - is it monocarpic

I've had a Dracaena marginata planted outside my front door for nearly 20 years. Some of its stems are 12-15' tall. Recently, many of those stems have flowered, which leads me to wonder: are Dracaenas monocarpic? Are all those stems now going to croak? I'd never seen one flower before (apparently as houseplants they don't). I've tried to do my due diligence research but every site I visit assumes I am growing it indoors so doesn't address the topic. So, what can I expect from my outdoor plant?

Not monocarpic. I don't have marginata but my reflexa, fragrans, surculosa and thalioides flower each year during winter, but I'm in the tropics. From various forums I've read that in colder climates they flower less frequently, with people exclaiming surprise when they flower for the first time in a decade or so. Their fragrance can be overpowering. But anyway, your plant will still be there next year.
