Palmengarten almost 40 years ago

I found some nostalgic photos from ancient times almost 40 years ago, when I visited Palmengarten at Frankfurt/Main in April and May 1977. – The first photos are from 1977-04-09, scanned from an analogue negative film:

I'll bet it was a big job hauling that CIDP inside every year.

Is the garden still there?

That’s the reason why I’m now growing palms of Chamaedorea tuerckheimii size. :D

The garden is still in Germany: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palmengarten

Some more photos from 1977; the Phoenix on the first one looks to me like a Ph. dactylifera (?):

Inside the hothouse it is dark like in a jungle:

Another Chamaedorea without species label:

And here a Sabal seedling labeled as S. blackburniana:

Still a baby but a real Pinanga:

Following an update nine years later from 1986, 30 years ago. On the first photo the Licualas now in the ground:

And for that time an unusual exotic Roscheria melanochaetes:

A little Archontophoenix cunninghamiana with undisturbed fronds:

Another Chamaedorea without species label:

And a Coccothrinax crinita wearing its fur coat even in a hothouse:

And my beloved olde Cocos weddelliana, now Syagrus w. (not looking too happy):
