I wonder if any other palm-addict are roaming in the Lyon botanic garden greenhouses (Pal Meir?) but there are some nice palm species:

Here Reinhardtia gracilis:

I got a good germination from RPS seeds and now I have seedlings, we'll see how they like Doranakanda gardens and climate.

Yes you can (lol)

These greenhouses in Lyon (France) botanic garden are open to the public in opening times.
Some others are closed, some others are abandoned (sadly I remember the beauty of them 40 years ago)

Oh oops, I was thinking of a different Lyon. The arboretum in Honolulu, HI shares the same name!

Lyon Arboretum in Honolulu used to allow visitors to go in some of the greenhouses.  They also used to sell some of the plants.  However, this was many years ago & I know there have been lots of changes since then.  You might check at the visitor center the next time you are there.  They had a lot of neat aroids at the time.

Your Lyon arboretum has a nicer climate, lucky you, Hawaiian friend!
