This palm in Singapore Botanical Gardens was labeled as »Dypsis decipiens« according to my notes. But it doesn’t look like a typical Dd. Any suggestions? Or could it be possible that it is actually a Dd?

Not DD for sure. If a Dypsis, probably Madagascariensis.
