Hello all!   I purchased this small 5-6 foot tall foxtail at the home depot.   It has these dark spots on the leaves.   It seems to be doing OK and even has new growth coming out.   I can't tell yet if the new leaf has spots also.   I am in san Diego, CA.   We have had some wet weather and I am concerned the tree may have issues.   Please help!

Don't worry, young foxtail always has this brown- black spots after chilly winters.

Now, plenty of water and heat and will be perfect in a few months.

Out of 5 seedlings in the same pot (meaning identical growing conditions), only one individual suffers such burnings constantly after each winter. So it has to do also with some genetically inherent more or less cold tolerance. Randomly (or not?) this is also the faster growing individual.
