Poor Bismarkia is WAY overtrimmed. Although it does kind of look like if the lower leaves were remaining it might interfere with the drive-through line.

Here is a Google street view shot of a pair from In-n-out in Washington, Utah.

Corpus Christi, TX, near salt water, zone 9b/10a! Except when it isn't and everything gets nuked.

Its because of the "X- palms" (part of a "w") at the end of the movie "It's a mad, mad, mad mad world".  One of the founders was a big fan of the movie.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

I can't even imagine what crossed Sabal palmettos look like. Or at least I couldn't until I found this image:

They don't look too healthy in that picture but it is from 2011. Are they looking any better now?

Those would have had to be planted recently. Growth would have be more upright as in some of the other pics in this thread.

Cheers, Barrie.

Yes, In and out just came to Texas (Dallas/Ft. Worth) 5 years ago. Their Texas Hub is in Dallas and they just started entering Austin and San Antonio.  I'd guess we have about 30 here in the DFW metroplex by now.  Usually there are sabal minor and pindo's planted at their locations as well.
