After commenting on a new forum members first post showing the development of their Sunshine Coast garden. I thought I'd share a few pics of a few Bali huts I used to sell and sometimes help install. Most of the pics are from a very special installation involving a custom designed swimming pool.

I love things but the prices are way over the top around here. The pathway across the pool is fabulous too. Great way to dispose of children and inlaws.

Hahahahahahaha that's a little bit evil Peachy.

The price of the huts I used to sell can be on the expensive side but as far as the price of other structures of similar size that one might build as a kit or have installed in a garden, the price is still competitive. The huts I sold are very thickly thatched too and made to order, so customers have the opertunity what ever customizations they desire. It just makes communication with the carpenters a little tricky, there are the occasional lost in translation incidents that made unpacking a shipping container interesting. Then there was the fun of stalling the customer while we waited another six or seven weeks for the next shipment.

They are very well constructed Pip, much better than some of the ones I have seen done.......... I intend to put a pavilion in the courtyard area but won't be doing the thatched roof as it is just not my sort of thing. Mine will have a colourbond roof similar to my house roof (and much more cyclone resistant than thatch).
