I have posted these before but they always catch my eye and this morning three are open on one of several clumps. Sorry, just a phone quality photo.

This is another favorite area of my farm as there are many interesting plants all kinds and it is always cooler here plus easy (well, relatively easy) to walk to from the house. That's one of three Kerriodoxa in the background plus a Licuala grandis.

Bo and I were coveting these at Lowe's yesterday - - big ones in pots with buds ready to open.  I was tempted, but passed, thinking they were too delicate for the aggressive weeds in my garden.  Now I wish I had crumbled and bought!  So pretty!

Clever pants again Cindy. I can never get things to flower for me. It's gorgeous.

I came. I saw. I purchased

Thanks Peachy! I excel at sticking plants in the ground, in this case in shade, and doing nothing! Oh I like your new photo!

Kim, this one is well worth adding, but I think would dislike full sun. I don't have too much weed competition in this shady area.

My black bat flower in my Jungle Clearing Part one area actually wilts if several days go by without rain, but I would not think your place in HI would have that issue often either.

I bought my white bats in FL and after inspection moved them here. The black bat came from a local PR Farmer's market, but neither are common here. Lowe's had them in HI? Wow.
