Thought I'd share my latest addition to the garden, kentiopsis oliviformis. I've already got one but couldn't resist getting another one from Ben ( kennybenjamin ) at palms for Brisbane.  I was hoping to get my hands on one but was very surprised to find one this big.

Those familiar with my garden know that there's very little straight sun except during winter low sun time of year. Kentiopsis in my garden (3 of them) seem to like limited sun. Mine are producing several new leaves per year, each considerably larger than the previous. Not sure if they like inland full sun. Maybe someone here can answer that.

Yeah I doubt they would like my sun. I'm guessing they probably take off once they get to a certain size. Todo list for 2017: find a big KO. This is one of my all time favorites

They'll take full sun at a small size, but will yellow up a little.  My suspicion is that they will do at least as well as A cunninghamiana with some size.

Both are accurate.  Although, I have the yellow spotting issues on older foliage of plants both in full sun or partial sun.  I love the bluish green tint to the topside of the newly opened leaflets.  My largest really accelerated growth as it approached trunking age.

They're easily 10 gallon size plants now (6' plus to tip of newest frond). Full shade all day and faster growing than nearly all of my other palm species except maybe foxy lady. These will be trunking a lot sooner than I could ever have imagined.
