Dont know but i ate some raw coconut palm heart a while back as my friend in Indonesia cut down a few coconut palms to make way for a building, tasted okay very clean and crispy kind of like cabbage, locals went crazy for it as it's a rare treat.

Chamaerops seeds smell like sick when ripe so probably won't kill you but there are nicer things to eat.

I like the taste of coconut palm heart too.

 

Taste them, you will see!

I tried to taste some chamaerops cerifera seeds years ago. It tasted like real dates but with much more fiber...
