I wish you 'll go to Gardens By the Bay in Singapore, there you can see a malay golden coconut.
But frankly, they can't be better than your srilankan wonderful Thambili :D

Hello Ahamed

I will try to show you what I have gathered during these years as a coconut addict. I am not 100% sure this is all correct but here it goes.

First no one ever talks about this, but it seems different people give different names to the golden malayan coconut. Here on palmtalk people refer to it as Malayan golden dwarf, but cogent names it Malayan Red Dwarf for example. In india I have seen them naming it Red or Orange Dwarf. I believe all of them are the same but maybe a Malayan golden dwarf is just a malayan red dwarf X malayan yellow dwarf.

With that said cogent says malayan red dwarf flowers in 2-3 years (optimal conditions).

Here are some pictures of the Malayan Red Dwarf (MRD) from Malaysia, from the user Jason Thien, from flickr:

MRD vs MGD:

Supposedly their water is sweet when gathered around 6-8 months. Not sure if it is as sweet as the King Coconut, Chowghat Orange Dwarf, Brazilian Green Dwarf or Aromatic green Dwarf (Thai), those are known to have very good water in their countries. In a study in India they ranked Chowghat as the best water of all followed by MRD.

As far as I know King Coconut fruit can have a button (cogent says), I believe they mean this:

Hope this helps.I am also not familiar with King Coconut, I have found few and mixed information online.
