Wow! Do you know the species? If so, can it help you identify the most likely African area whence it likely came to India?

Can you post a picture of your tree. I have been trying to find one of these but haven't had much luck.

Sure, here it is on the left side of the picture in front of the cactus. Very fast growing when young!

Not that I have the space for any of them, but I didn't know they would survive here.  The only ones I have had the opportunity to see in person are the ones on Oahu, both in Koko Head crater gardens and Waimea Valley.  Would love to see the mature ones in habitat in person some day!

Thank you for the information Cagary. 

Tracy, to be honest with you I just assumed they would grow hear since most of my collection comes from the same areas as the Baobab. Maybe someone can chime in if they have any knowledge on these. I know there are nine different species. Six species live in the dryer parts of Madagascar, two in mainland Africa and one in Australia. Seeing Baobabs and Encephalartos in Habitat is one of the top things on my bucket list. I don't have much space either but they can always be relocated (when small).
