I transplanted this livi australis 6 months ago. It has not grown at all. Just sits there. I water every 2 to 3 days. Will patience reward this one or am I wasting water and time?

I would try more water at this point. Your ground looks pretty dry. And I bet the area dries out quickly...?

I would water the palm daily. If it starts to grow, bingo! If it doesn't, then use it as firewood.

I have a small one that seems to appreciate moist soil in its pot.

Keep watering it and possibly water it more frequently.   It isnt shocking any more so if you keep it watered and it should resume growth. livistona transplant very well and usually dont miss a beat if properly irrigated.

Cool. My soil is basically solid sand  I bumped my watering to daily.  Hope that helps it.

Mark the spear and keep an eye out for growth.

I will. I had a mark that I made on 5-19 and I've had 1", I hope it makes it and picks up on growth.

Many times after planting, palms need a period of adjustment. Usually the root system is establishing in it's new surroundings and top growth is put on hold. Patience.

Cheers, Barrie.
