How fast do Washingtonia filifera grow? Are they considered "speedy" growers? I heard they were a little slower than robust, but not super slow. The reason I am asking this is because I am going to attempt to grow on in VA next spring, and I am wondering how fast they grow. Thank you for reading!

They add mass just as fast as robusta, the caveat is they are girthier trees so this dramatically reduces the speed of vertical height comparatively speaking.  My robusta added over 4' this year(11' to 15'+ct) where as it had only added 3' in the past because the trunk is significantly thinner.
