Hedyscepe canterburyana in my yard

Hedyscepe canterburyana have always been in my top 5 all time favorite palms and so far i have been very successful in my climate with their growth and progression.

My Hedyscepe were germinated from seed that was off a huge specimen in the former garden of Bob De Jong.

The largest ones were germinated in 2008 and love compost rich soil , mulch and organic fertilizer along with liquid kelp

Troy is too modest, he is a great gardener, and a very astute observer of his palms.  :greenthumb:

That palm couldn't have been better grown, Troy.  I agree about the speed; I have a 5 gallon that I planted 3 years ago, and it's maybe half that size.  One of my favorites.  I have another in a 10 gallon, that's about the same size.  I'm debating planting that as well.

and perfectly grown may I add :greenthumb:

They are looking real good Troy. Mine have been badly burnt during a couple of extremely hot days.
