how would common northern pine trees do in florida?

Up north the common plants are usually pines, hemlocks and spruces as well as some that arent native.  How would these common new england trees fare in florida and where would they stop being able to grow like south carolina or ect

Back in the early '90's I tried a blue spruce and a hemlock when I lived in Orlando.  They languished for a couple years then died, no real surprise but wanted to try.

Lived in Cape Coral, Miami, Orlando and St. Petersburg Florida.

The farthest south I’ve seen eastern white pine (Pinus strobus) is Cordele, GA.
