Coccothrinax fragrans comes from eastern Cuba and Haiti. The mother palm of these seeds is one of the fastest growing of the genus in my Caribbean Garden. It is definitely one of the burliest. Its trunk is at least 8-10" diameter. A photo shows it compared to my size 7 shoe. Its dark green fronds are 4-5' diameter, arch and droop elegantly. After a couple years of small crops of seeds, this year it has produced a bounty. This species is hardy to zones 10/11, maybe warm microclimates of 9b.

Update: Photos I posted are consistent. This palm is what I received as C. fragrans.
