20 years ago my neighbour grew this plant along our boundary as opposed to having a fence.  I've always thought it was some type of lily pilly, (Syzygium sp) but my new neighbour is now telling me its a Murraya Pinniculata (Mock Orange)  I think he's wrong.  What does the Palm Talk brains trust think ?

There is 4-5 Mock Orange planted at the very end of our boundary, but to me, it's a different looking plant to those two pictured above.

I'd say you are right. Lily pilly will get purple/pink fruit at some stage.

The first two pics are Syzygium australe (S. paniculatum in trade). The last one is Murraya paniculata.
