Arenga Tremula

Here's a few pics of my "not so common" Arenga Tremula.   Originally planted in 1998 it was all but wiped out by a severe frost in 2007.   It's basically grown back from a few suckers that sprouted after I thought it was dead.  It can handle light frost, but anything more than about -1 deg C will set it back.  It's certainly not as tough as my Arenga Engleri or Arenga Macrocarpa.

Does it possess any different merits than Arenga engleri? I understand it stays smaller and more compact that an engleri. It can be a merit for the small garden or the owner who is not wiling to allot but only small space of the garden to such a palm. But there are also engleri strains which remain quite small. Are there any more advantages over engleri for the average garden owner? I do not mean the collector; for latter every single different sp. is worth growing it. The average gardener on the other hand has different priorities like aesthetic effect, adaptability, needed space etc.
