I reaaly don´t know the species name of the big Butia, Was the seed it originated in southern Brazil/

This Butia archeri look different from the archeris near Diamantina region....

 

 

 

 

Carambeí, 2nd tableland of the State Paraná , south Brazil.

Alt:1030m. Native palms: Queen, B. eriospatha, B. microspadix, Allagoptera leucocalyx , A.campestris, Geonoma schottiana, Trithrinax acanthocoma. Subtr. climate, some frosty nights. No dry season. August: driest month. Rain:1700mm

What time of year does Butia archeri set seed? Does anyone know?

Zone 8/9 until 3 years ago. Now Zone 6b.
