Yes, that little plant deserves a very special pot!

It got the special pot only for that photo shooting. :P Now it must live together with its siblings again in a narrow »one-for-four« pot. :D

They look great! :)

How well do these tolerate semi shade/shade? I am thinking about getting some Lytocaryum for my western windowsil.

L itapebiense is an understorey palm with creeping (acaulescent) stem growing in shade to semi shade on slopes at 250-350 m altitude. — My four babies are at present growing on a bright NNW windowsill.

It doesn't look like it, though #5 is not entirely unfolded yet. Still I expect it to remain entire.

This is the 2 days older sister N°1604, pushing her 7th leaf since 2018-05-23. The 4th leaf had already 7 leaflets and the 5th 11 leaflets. — The surface of your soil looks so clean, compared to mine although it is the same mix …

As I could see that there were no problems or any growth delay after repotting the two first palms I decided today to repot the remaining two palms N°1603 & N°1604 too:

@Kai, after they have developed pinnate leaves they are growing like rockets. :D

Compared to my 1 year young nano Lytos N°1701-03  the 2 years old L itapebiense are looking like huge monster palms: :o

All four palms now repotted into the relatively large 16x16xH12cm containers; I waited so long because the May here in Germania was as cold as in last ice age: :bemused:
