Thanks for the pictures. This is without doubt one of the worlds greatest trees!

One thing that always strikes me with pictures of this species, pictures of them in parks as younger specimens makes them appear huge imposing trees, while the landscape shots makes them appear small and skinny due to perspective. Standing under one of those super-tall beauties out in the field must be an awesome experience!

Those habitat pictures are spectacular - they made me order some seeds a while ago.

Unfortunately we lack cooler temps at night from April up to December - so, they are not really doing well over here. 

However, thank you very much for posting - a beautiful species!

Very telling of the early requirements. I can easily imagine the moisture levels and humidity from this shot.

I can also see why this palm is worth trying in the UK. The problem I hear constantly from UK growers is 'red spider mite', which is why I'll keep my seedlings protected until the the cooler, damp weather returns. (Shouldn't be too long!)
