Looks like something in between Tibouchina lepidota and Tibouchina mutabilis but it's definitely none of the two species based on the petals and leaves. Also, it's not one of these: Tibouchina urvilleana; Tibouchina granulosa; Tibouchina semidecandra; Tibouchina cardinalis. 

That's for sure a rare Tibouchina :hmm:

Do the flowers change tones or they just stay the same during their life cycle? There are some hybrids like "Chameleon" where the flowers start white and end up as purple —not the one in question either.

The flowers  change tones , as in Tibouchina mutabilis .

Amazing! You need to collect the seeds and sell them to us :drool:

I have seen mutabilis in person and it's an amazing tree as well. It has broader petals and the leaves are darker, shinier and probably larger (not as large as in granulosa)
