Good Morning everyone!

Does anyone know where I can find the seeds of Encephalartos Horridus and Encephalartos Lehmanni?

I would need someone who makes shipments to Italy ...

I thank you in advance and I await your answers

@Tic91Its is illegal to ship ANY encephalartos seeds or plants outside of the country as they are listed on cites appendix 1. Violations are as serious as shipping ivory or rhino horn or any other endangered or extinct in the wild animal or plant.

thank you very much for the prompt reply!

I find it a bit 'absurd, in the end are native South African plants and yet they are all over the world ...

however I do not discuss this fact, in fact I was hoping to find some European sellers! always if there are any or if anyone knows ?!

thank you again and I await replies.

As far as I know the European Union is viewed as one "country" so rarepalmseeds will be your best bet as they are in Germany. All their Encephalartos seed had "European only" on them due to the CITES restrictions.

Millbrook, "Kinjarling" Noongar word meaning "Place of Rain", Rainbow Coast, Western Australia 35S. Warm temperate. Csb Koeppen Climate classification. Cool nights all year round.

Of course we've got plenty of availability within the US, but we've got great gobs of cultivated cycads.

Fla. climate center: 100-119 days>85 F
USDA 1990 hardiness zone 9B
Current USDA hardiness zone 10a
4 km inland from Indian River; 27º N (equivalent to Brisbane)

Central Orlando's urban heat island may be warmer than us

Hope you find what you are looking for.

This topic belongs in the 'Tropical Plants Other Than Palms’ forum, so don't be surprised

if the moderator moves it there.

True, but palm and cycad seeds often follow each other.

That's the thing with rare plants, you have to wait until seeds become available. When they do become available you've got to move fast to acquire them. Keep an eye on RPS and I think in time you'll get some.
