Anyone has any idea why this happens? It's been opening VERY slowly for about 4-5 days now. This is the first time this happens to this King palm, its fronds have always opened rather quickly. It receives plenty of water and heat. I also fertilize it with BGI Palm Gain.

When did it slow down? Recently?

Happens all the time, can take weeks occasionally.

I have 95-100 in the ground at different sizes and I haven't noticed any suddenly stopping and growing fast. You're probably right though. What I have seen though is when they go into shock mode, they slow down and don't like to open. More than this slow growth though, I absolutely hate when unhappy or in shock kings don't let go of old dead fronds and you have to tear them off.
