Copernicia rigida Seedlings for Sale

Recommended Posts

I saw Copernicia rigida in habitat when I visited Cuba in 2014 and it instantly became my favorite Copernicia. Our tour bus stopped along the side of a road and we walked past a dump and abandoned hobo camp through brush which opened up into a scrubby field populated by dozens of C. rigida, many of them looking like giant blue-green shaving brushes that my Dad and grandfather once used to lather up for a shave. Simply awesome palms. I was disappointed none of them were seeding.

The eight seedlings for sale were germinated last year from seeds that came from Tim in Key West. He included a photo of the mother palm in his listing. Seedlings have 3-4 strap leaves covered with tiny red-gold saw teeth. They are in 1- or 2g pots and ready to be stepped up or planted. See below for sale summary.

Copernicia rigida: One (1) strap leaf Seedling for $30 each

Shipping Cost Included in price. Plants will be sent via Priority Mail. I will remove from pot, wrap roots in damp orchid most, clear wrap and foil.

Payment via Paypal

No shipping overseas. No shipping to HI.

Here is one I'm growing.I've found this species to be very similar to macroglossa, except a lot slower for me.Plant looks very similar except the color is a dark olive green compared to macroglossa's bright lime green
