Ill be in Raleigh NC. I'm going to visit Pullen and jaycee park as recommended by some papmtalkers. I'll try the aubertorium too and see if I can make it to plant delights. I saw a good amount of bananas in Richmond but no planted palms.

Update. About 20 min north of Raleigh. Just saw a house with 3 large windmill palms and Tons of bananas missed a picture of it because we were on highway

Alright. Here is my first 2 palm finds. A sabal palmetto in a neighborhood. This has been there around 4-5 years and was a Florida transplant. Looks good after last winter. 20180924_153147.thumb.jpg.10e7d0afd243a4

The 2nd was a 4ft tall windmill a block away from the sabal. Was surrounded by cactus. 20180924_154822.thumb.jpg.5217ac6a27d0f5

Nice Sabal palmetto! Where exactly are you in Releigh? I am sure Windmill Palms are bulletproof there.
