Hello, just joined up. I recently got an interest in Cycads and aquired two Z. fairchildianas. One of these is in a quite sorry state (3cm Caudex) and had a mealy bug infestation when i received it. I decided to push on (a bad decision?) because i lived in Costa Rica for a few years and i enjoyed seeing them out in the forest on a regular basis. They are not commonly available here in Austria. I treated the mealy bug infestation with Neem Oil, this has reduced their numbers so far, but seems to have aggrevated a fungal leaflet infection which it appears to have that i am now treating with Saprol. One leaf has severley discolored leaflets (was like this when i got it) what might be the reason for this? The substrate seems quite broken down already, i am trying to hold back on repotting until springtime, not sure if this is the right decision. I keep it indoors in a NE window, it seems to be pushing a new leaf i think? Appreciate any pointers you can give me.
