It is with great sadness and disbelieve that John DeMott has left us to join the great plant heaven. He was instrumental in the South Florida nursery industry as well as the Palm Society. I had the pleasure to work with him through the good and bad times. He inspired many. Rest in Peace John, You will be missed.

Met John before and I think he contributed a lot to the Palm world. RIP John

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Judy and I are saddened by this news. John was at our place in the Keys about a month ago. He was always gracious and very generous to Judy and I. He will be missed. Rest In Peace John.
