Has anyone seen Ctenitis sloanei, in the wild, in a nursery, or otherwise? If you have pictures would be great. Seems like an interesting Florida native plant, growing up to six feet tall with fronds just as long.

Neat! Do want more info!! I see I ignorantly missed an opportunity to get one  https://www.fairchildgarden.org/spring-sale-2016

I know it's found in Fern Forest in Broward, moist hammocks in the Everglades and Miami, and the Fakahatchee, very rarely in all of these locations. It's also apparently in FTBG in plot 112, going to check it out next time I visit. Here's some pics I found online:

I have never seen this fern either.

Another Florida native that can have a tree fern look is the common Royal Fern, Osmunda regalis var. spectabilis. Here is one I came across hiking in Spring Hammock Preserve north of Orlando near Longwood.

I have three of them in pots. I got mine from Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens. They usually sale them at their plant sales. Be careful there is a lot of other ferns that look like them. I will post some photos to help you identify them better. In the past, I bought a invasive fern that was  sold to me as a Florida Tree Fern.

The key is to look at the new emerging frond. It bends over and looks like a paper clip as shown in the photo.
