variegated palms

hy, i love variegated plants, but i have just seen a few variegated rhapis, has anyone other variegated palms, or pic of them?

i would love to see them

How do varigated varieties occur?  Is it some sort of mutation?  Do their offspring posses the same trait?

Hello William,

At my own opinion, they may come from sun radiation.

That's mean stronger sun make stronger radioactive.  In tropical country it maybe occured easier.

Anyway, percentage would be too small to predict which one will mutate, or to predict is it possible to be varigated?

And their offspring could be varigated too. Not at all but up to your luck.  If their inflorescence push out from varigated part, it could rise up to 50-80% varigated.

e.g. my above caryota come from seed of the varigated mother plant.

Does verigation generally come true from palm seeds?  I didn't think it did...
