Palms near heatpump an issue?

So the palmetto you see isn't effected by any air from either unit, but I want to plant a palm right next to the palmetto up against the house and one next to the black hose. Yall think that's too close or will be an issue?1553709053463138401337824608028.thumb.jpg.4c1dadc93c9fb484064ae5ffbdacb220.jpg

What direction is the fan blowing? Is it pulling air through the coils or pushing it out to the sides?

Just remember, as I have mentioned before, in the winter it will be blowing air that is COLDER then the ambient air temperature.

Also you can always paint that concrete black for some extra heat in the winter :D

Edit: Is the "window" unit just an AC?

Both do heat and ac and the window unit sucks in air. This is the side where I was able to get thermometers in the sun to be at 80 to 90f on a winter day so the sun hits it good enough to not warrant pissing the wife off ...err painting the house black! Lol

No kidding!!!  The West side of my house is a bit longer but I have 13 palms there, three sweet Viburnum, one giant false Red Abyssinian banana and a bunch of small fillers like cannas and variegated ginger.  You have TONS of room!  :D

Regarding the fans, I have a similar situation where my heat pump is located in between two queen palms.  I'm not too concerned about it because even if it blows out cold air at them in the winter (extracting heat to warm the house), the queens are generally cold tolerant enough to handle it.  I wouldn't plant a "marginal" palm in a location where it was getting extra-cold air blown on it at night.  But you could probably avoid the "cone of cold" pretty easily, just get on a stepladder and judge the rough diameter of high airflow.  Keep out of that area and it'll probably be fine.
