Hi everyone,

I planted this large specimen needle in my yard a few days ago.  I get a lot of wind where I live 20-30mph regularly with very few calm days and this spot is pretty exposed.  I was just wondering how these guys do in the wind.

Also I wanted to get in the ground ASAP so that it would establish better, hopefully not too early with 2 nights at 25f.

They do fine in the wind here. Since you just planted yours, you could stake up a little burlap "tent" around it for like a month to allow it to get rooted in a bit. The only concern I would have with it in the wind in your location is if it would be hurt by the cold winter wind. They will also get a little wind "tattered" and look a little more messy than if they were to be in an area that is not as windy.
