Yep.. goner unless it has / produces offsets, or it produces Bulbils / seed after flowering.

That's pretty fast, wow.. Wonder how old it was when you picked it up.. Like i said, you may luck out and get seed or bulbils after flowering before it dies out..  ..Just be glad you don't have a garden full of 'em..

It almost looks like a young Agave “Sawtooth” , but obviously not as it is now flowering. Sawtooth achieves an 8-10 ft width. It must be a another hybrid or an Agave I’m not thinking of.
