Subjects add scale to palm photos

I have noticed that sometimes I see a photo of a palm and without anything in the photo to provide scale the palm looks smaller than it is.  I was taking photos of my old garden and had one of my Sabal mauritiformis (posted below).  I then had another with subjects in it... doesn't it look bigger with people in it for scale?  First with no one in the photo, and next with my subjects:20190609-104A3804.thumb.jpg.cea140351d5bf239de4971ff7e195622.jpg

Objects definitely help for scale like the home depot =) People obviously put the palm in perspective. Good looking S.Mauritiformis

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Without me  as scale you would think that the Lyto weddells were only small palms, but as you can see in relation to me they are really huge: :P
