I actually didn't feel it here which is surprising. I have friends in Vegas that felt it but it was pretty far from here. Good size shaker that's for sure.

Was sitting at the laptop and felt the house moving and a teeny amount of glass rattling.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

When that 7.1 hit we sure felt it. Got the house rockin. Seems like everyone is fine but Ridgecrest had some damage.

Glad both were centered where they were also.

While i diddn't, 7.1  quake was felt in parts of Scottsdale, the west side of town, and in some neighborhoods on either side of South Mountain also. Did revive talk about Arizona's earthquake history though. While much less common, if we were to see something that big, it would be centered either out by Yuma, up by Flagstaff, or down in the southeast corner of the state / same area of N. Mexico along the Sonora/ Chihuahua state lines.

As long as it's been, still remember Loma Prieta like it happened yesterday. Considering how close I lived to the epicenter at that time, I'm still surprised there was practically no damage in my neighborhood / area of San Jose. Never forget watching the ground move like ripples on a pond  during one of the bigger aftershocks while checking on neighbors gathering outside right after it happened, let alone the near and distant sounds of countless car / home alarms. Crazy stuff.

Fine for me although closer to the epicenter, damage was done.

Ditto to what Jim said.  But for sure that 2nd one at 7.1 was noticeably stronger than the 6.4.
