He like wet or not?

Mine are in the ground in a flat area where they get over 150 inches (nearly 4000 mm) of rain per year (windward side of Hawaii Island). They are growing, so perhaps the wet is not a problem for them.

165 inches (4,200 mm) of rain per year, 66 to 83 deg F (20 to 28 deg C) in summer, 62 to 80 deg F (16.7 to 26.7 Deg C) in winter.

This species also does well in the Arizona desert with minimal water and extreme heat.I deep water only once a week or less.
