The leaves do resemble Ceratozamia latifolia but I don't know if all latifolia will flush with color (rust, brown or red).  It also could be a hybrid of latifolia with another species (mexicana or pacifica as possibilities).  I find the Ceratozamia's one of the most difficult genus to distinguish the species despite having been pointed to several guides.  Lots of subtle differences compared to Encephalartos or even Cycas imo and perhaps a lot of hybrids.

Tracy, I agree.  I have a group of plants that Tom Broome called green latifolia as they look just exactly like latifolia except for the green flush.. Well they aren't latifolia at all.

They can't handle sun, they can't handle any cold, they can't handle heat...  They are the worst ceratozamia for us by far.  Most other ceratozamia absolutely love it here.   They would be a great pacific coast ceratozamia.

This guy is in 100 percent shade makes it every winter and really doesn’t stop flushing . Fairly fast grower to. It was a 3 leaf seedling 3 years ago . Now it’s about baseball size
