I have a minor change on the directions to Pat and Lorraine house: turn right on E. Santa Ana Canyon Rd instead of East Santiago Canyon Rd.

Sorry, Jeff

I know 3 of us will be there in my truck. MattyB, Pohonkelapa and myself.  I believe JD in OC will be there too.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

I'll be there Jeff.

Let me just say that I have been to the Mohoney's house before I can't even express how incredible it was!!!  It is my understanding that they bought the house from the founder of Weight Watchers and basically fixed up the whole property.  He has two clumps of Phoenix reclinata that must be 50-70 feet tall!

This is probably one of the most amazing estates I've ever seen!!  Not just the palms, but the house too.

(When the house was first built, there was a massive boulder in the middle of the foundation.  It is about the size of a full size pickup.  They brought in the largest crane they could get to remove the boulder and it actually snapped its arm trying to lift it!!  So, they left the boulder in place and built the house around it!  I've never seen anything like it.  We will definitely get pictures.)

See you all there..
