:) Hi Guys,

They're growing fine for me,Slower than standard form

for sure, Here's couple shots, got 5 in ground, 2 out front

in Bright filtered light, I have 2 in shade 1 in full sun.

of course the shade ones abit taller but older fronds take on a more green/gold colouration. The new opening

picture of just leaf detail (1st)pic is of the plant

in the shade is the same colour of those in either area.

 Cheers Mikey.

I've got one growing in my shadehouse. I thought I'd killed it, but it kept pushing spears out and is still growing. Weird little thing. The gold part of it makes it look like it's lacking Nitrogen.

I had 2 sent in from Thailand and one leaf seedlings...  One has absolutey flourished and its yellow color is very apparent throughout it's entire structure, it's first pinnate leaf is pushing its way out as we speak... The other just turned it leaves green and the stem and petioles remained a faintish yellow-green...  :(

Here in South Florida, I have found that this palm has to have some shade during the heat of the day. When conditions are right, it seems to grow a little slower than the green one.

I planted 3 in full sun and they are dead now. They were not very well when I got them, so I guess planting them straight in the full sun all day every day proven to be too much for the 3 little palms...

Oh well, live and learn. Next time, I will get a healthy palm to start with. Although, they are hard to find here in Darwin!!

I have one in the ground that is from the same seedlings as Mike Edwards and it gets 3-4 hours of full

sun every day.I transplanted it from my old place and now after 18 months it is really powering. The new leaves emerge a brilliant golden colour and stay that way for many weeks.Even the older leaves 80 percent yellow. It is a real beauty and is only about 1/2 the size of a standard green version

I got mine from Rich too. A bit of palm insanity for me to try it, but it's going OK in the shadehouse and will never make it in the ground in my climate.

My one is about 40cm taller than the pot. I got it as a 3 or 4 leafer if I remember correctly. It's putting out character leaves though and is pushing a spear now. I think I bought him in Sep 2004.
