Hi everyone,

for many years now I'm looking for seeds of northern, cold-tolerant Sabal palmetto provenances, e.g. Sabal palmetto "Bald Head Island" or "Tifton Hardy". Does anyone here have some fresh seeds for sale? :) Thanks a lot!

Today I picked some fresh fruit from this massive drought stressed Texas Sabal (Sabal Mexicana). It should do great in your area, this one is in Austin, TX. Two years ago the temperatures dropped to 17F and it had no damage whatsoever, so I am sure it can handle even lower temperatures.

What parts of Texas experienced this year is  culling of the weakling more tender palms. There will be some good palms to get seeds from. This freeze was longer than what the southeast US ever experienced.
