Hah, better put a lid on the TLC. At this pace they'll outgrow your yard within a few years!
;)

@Swolte I wouldn't mind! haha.

Thanks @TonyDFW

Happy Spring All.

Here is a little update on my oldest Chamaerops Humilis Ive had for several years.

She's in flower this spring just like last year, and many more this time.

And the larger of the two males I have, which for some reason flowered in winter? Maybe it's confused?

Wow this is incredible, and inspiring!  We just finished our backyard pool project last year and I bought 3yr old seedlings of these!  They're growing, pushing new spears and I can't wait to see them get larger.  I realize it'll be years, but they get plenty of water, sun, and love... Again, these are beautiful.  Thanks for sharing.

This formula will help the green form grow faster - at least for trunking specimens.  Can't imagine it would be any different regarding seedlings.  Just make sure to water at the base because they don't like water in the crown.  Avoid watering with sprinklers.

Thanks!  No sprinklers hit them and I water around the plants.. They seem to be doing quite well thus far.. I should probably take some pictures and document them..

So today I got out back and trimmed up the Chammies, as well as ripped out all the winter/spring plants (violas and pansys etc...)

Each time I take a picture and look back to just a few years ago at how much they've grown in such a short time it amazes me.

The smallest of the "trio" of cham's in the backyard suffered bud rot from these teens/freezing rain this winter. No spear pull, and pushing growth though, but had a series of nasty new fronds come out. I left it out intentionally until its in better shape to photograph.

Anyway, these were planted in 2019 around this time. So, we could say this is a 2 year update on the dot.
