Hello all, is there a way to differentiate a Serenoa repens seedling from other palmettos like Sabal minor, Brahea armata, trachycarpus etc?

Is there a characteristic that's unique to S. repens?

I have a bunch of them and honestly they look a lot like everything else. It is a silver kind and there is a silver hint to the first leaflets for me anyway

Best to dig around pot and look for seed attached. Can usually tell from the differences in the Seed.

Serenoa seedlings have a wider blade.

Hard to describe without a photo, but the strap leaves are short and wide and with more pronounced ridges on each leaf.

It's more of a juvenile than a seedling. But would it be a Serenoa repens?

That looks more like Chamaerops humilis.

What about this one? Sereona repens?

Yes, this one could be Serenoa. But you'd better focus on petioles and post close up pictures of them.

As far as strap leaves it’s hard to tell them apart from other seedlings. But where the stem meets the leaf there’s a sharp cutoff point with Serenoas, while as with many other palms it’s more pointy and smoothly flows into the leaf.
Although, Sabal minor, Trachycarpus etc. also have sharp cutoff points just like Serenoas, so identifying them at that stage can be tough.
Also, Sereno leaves tend to curve to the back forming a very canoe-like appearance. Although that too might be a characteristic other above mentioned palm seedlings do.
