Boy Matt, the underside of those leaves are beautiful.

Thanks, Tim! It's definitely one of my favorite palms. I can never get enough of it.

@Big Eye I’m no expert but I’ll say mine (which I think is minor) has a gold to white color depending on the lighting.

Agreed! Looks like someone dragged the leaf through the sand down at the beach! Hope one day mine can look like that! Stunning!

That looks like my P. minor. Ron says that the telltale is the near-complete circle at the base of the leaf where it meets the petiole.

Hi Matt;

  Here are three, more direct images of that detail in my palm.

Hmmm, I sense another Pritchardia thread in the offing. A lot of interest here.

Gotta go take a look at mine and snap some photos.

Relarch, please do, I have a second Priatchardia, growing very well, labeled as P. minor, but it is obviously not the same as my first one.

Tim, please do! I always admire your pics. Especially the loulu! Your martii and beccariana are stunning!

Here is the one loulu that I have that's in question. Underside is a more brownish color than white. My apologies if the pictures come out blurry. Snapped these just as the sun was rising with the flash on. Also, I'm new at photographing plants so I'm not sure of what exactly I should have taken pictures of for a more accurate ID. Thanks in advance!

@Darold Petty With the caveat that I'm no expert, I was told that this circled aspect was a distinguishing feature of minor.

Great info! I'll have to check to see if mine has that. Thanks!

Finally got around to taking some decent pictures of the perlmanii. Here is how they look as of this past weekend.

As you can see, the scales on the underside of the leaves are very scarce. P. perlmanii supposedly completely covered in ledipia? Thoughts?
