Here in the Canary Islands,the Phoenix canariensis ,the situación is dramatic with Diocalandra!

En mi ciudad he visto Butias atacadas por el picudo. Creo que todas las palmeras con el tronco grueso son susceptibles. Parece que de jovenes no les atacan.

Tengo Butia ordarta en Mallorca y no he tenido problemas

Washingtonia, butia, syagrus, son palmeras que aguantan bastante bien al picudo.

Pero no es 100%.

No hemos encontrado ejemplares en Uruguay que no hayan sido atacados por el picudo rojo. Incluyenso Butia odorata, Syagrus romanzoffiana, toda la familia Phoenix, Washingtonia spp.
