Same age. They are about two years old. Twice the speed on the coconut queen. Photo is of coconut queen syagrus s x syagrus r.  Two smaller ones are syagrus s x butia odorata

Not growing any of the butia variety. Just did it for fun. Doubt there will be much of a market for them.

Erik, I assume that your title is correct and they are Butia odorata x Syagrus schizophylla?  Either way it's a cool project and I'm sure it'll turn out to be a cool hybrid!

Yes Butia Odorata being the host. We only got 10 seedlings. Only a couple stayed alive.  I believe someone else has done this cross and has a larger sized one maybe they can chime in and share the photo.

If anyone locates the Butia odorata x  S. schiz., please post. I've been looking for one.
