Looking for interesting palms in the Philippines

Recommended Posts

Anyone have tips on sourcing exotic palm species in the Philippines? I looked into importing some seeds but found the regulations to be onerous so I am looking for a local supplier. I am hoping there is an IPS member who lives in central Luzon and has some interesting palms to sell. By "interesting" I mean things that are different from what we commonly find in shops. So far the ones I most commonly find are:

- Foxtail

- Manila palm

- Royal palm

- Phoenix roebelenii

- Areca

- Lipstick palm

- Bamboo palm

- Bismark

- Anahaw (saribus rotundifolius)

- Licuala

- Coconut

- Date palm (phoenix dactylifera)

- Caryota

I'm looking for palms other than those because I already have what I want from the above list.
