Wow you'll have some beautiful palms! My wife and I are working on germinating our first ever palm seeds (a ton of manila palm seeds and 2 foxtail seeds) and it's already been a couple of weeks. We can't see any leaves yet, but we haven't checked for roots.

Thanks,

I wouldn’t recommend disturbing your seeds, as can cause problems. These are in a really light medium and I have lots of seeds. Best to wait for yours to sprout especially if only 2 weeks. Good luck.

Your Dypsis lutescens will probably sprout pretty soon. They're fairly quick. The Wodyetia bifurcata typically take much longer.

Forgot about my foxtails. I just went and checked on them. I planted them 11weeks and 3days ago after removing fruit. Some of the seeds have a shoot 2cm through soil, so yeah definitely take longer.

Patience is needed when germinating seeds.  It took 2 years for an Acrocomia aculata seed to germinate for me!  4-6 months isn't uncommon for germination however I've had Carpoxylon, Washingtonia and Phoenix germinate in less than a week.
