What you look for is what is looking

My one and only H. belmoreana. I bought it as a 1g in 2005. It manages to survive under deep canopy in my jungle overlooking the canal. Very slow growing.

Due to overhanging adjacent palms it is hard to capture this Howea Belmoreana on the left coast of North America (sorry not Florida).  Given how popular and easy growing it's sibling from the genus is, this species is really underutilized in California's coastal zone.

Looking down and looking up at a triple planting of Howea belmoreana in Carlsbad CA.  These are several years older than the one planted in Leucadia, but I think it is a combination of better soil and more room for the roots for the solitary one I have in Leucadia.  The trip planting om Carlsbad is in a planter with no bottom so the roots can reach down, but there are 3 in close proximity.
