Any ideas on the identification of this palm I came across today while checking out Kopsick?

Yes Jeremy, I agree.  Well, we found a Pinanga!  Jeremy and I both checked out Kopsick today and he was kind enough to show me all the palminess that Lakeland has to offer.  He also sent me home with some goodies, which I will post pictures of tomorrow.  Thank you dear friend.

Hopefully mine will grow like that someday. Had it for 3 or 4 years and its kinda slow,

maybe too much shade but worried about our occasional freezes. So far 4 rings,4 suckers

and leaves are about chest high.

Yeah it is now on my shopping list, lovely Palm.  I have visited Kopsick a number of times but don't remember noticing it before.

Agreed, W/ those crownshafts, it would've caught my attention every time i visited the collection.  Gonna have to look through all my pictures from 2014, 15, early 16 again.. :interesting:

It looks just like Cyrtostachys to me.  Perhaps only the inflorescence and the less than cleanly colored crownshafts would give it away as something of a different genus.

I now have a new favorite Pinanga!  Patula and javana and second and third.
